This designated fund was established by the late local attorney Kyle Lusk to honor his parents Douglas and Iris Lusk. “Life was difficult for both my parents, and they struggled to make sure that my life would be easier.” Iris grew up in a coal mining family living in War, WV. Douglas Lusk’s family lived on a farm; he loved athletics. The purpose of this fund is to provide income to pay the membership costs for young people who cannot afford to join the Beckley-Raleigh County YMCA (now the YMCA of Southern WV).
