This permanent endowment is designated to provide income for the maintenance and preservation of Wildwood Cemetery. This fund was initiated in 1996 under leadership of Lois McLean, the Late Col. Robert Thomson, and the Raleigh County Historical Society. Additional Gifts were received from the Dana Dunn Cemetery Fund of the First Baptist Church, Carter Family Foundation and Wildwood Cemetery Fund. Friends and families of those buried in this cemetery are encouraged to add to this endowment providing perpetual care of the property.
