A few months before his death, Tom Keyser contacted the BAF office and indicated that he and his wife Pam were sending a donation to create a named discretionary fund. Pam completed their plans for this endowment in 2010. Tom was a 1943 graduate of Woodrow Wilson HS and was a World War II veteran having served in the Marine Corps, Pacific Theater. He held additional degrees from Virginia Tech and the Milwaukee School of Engineering. He was President of Maxwell and Keyser Plumbing and Heating for 30 years. Pamela was a 1945 graduate of Woodrow Wilson HS and a 1949 Concord College graduate with a B.S. in education. Tom and Pam had two children Sandy and John. The Keysers were active in both the Beckley Presbyterian Church and in a variety of civic organizations. This fund was created to support projects responding to emerging needs in Raleigh County.
