Hunter and Robin Smith of Charleston started this donor advised fund, allowing them to remain actively involved in the grant making process as they make annual suggestions about distribution of the income. It is their intention that the fund benefit charitable West Virginia non-profit organizations, located primarily in the southern part of the state. Hunter M. Smith is a past vice president of Salomon Smith Barney, having worked in the Charleston Office.
