This fund was initiated by the Shady Spring Citizens Scholarship Committee under the leadership of Larry Ford, Class of 1966 alumnus & Sarah Chapman, retired faculty and longtime Citizens Scholarship Committee sponsor. Donors pooled their resources to provide this permanent source of scholarship money for SSHS graduates. Additional gifts have been received from alumni recognizing their own graduating classes or as memorials for their classmates.
