In 2002, Oceana High School closed its doors for the last time when it merged with Baileysville High School to form Westside High School marking the end of an era. The Class of 1966’s vision begins another era; one impacting the educational and occupational dreams of aspiring Wyoming County graduates. Alumni of the Oceana High School Class of 1966 had a collective vision for their 50th reunion – “leaving a living legacy of our time at OHS” resulted in establishing this need-based scholarship benefiting Westside High School students. The reunion activities included a successful fundraising performance, attended by both alumni and Wyoming County residents. This scholarship benefits a Westside High School students and is a lasting legacy for the OHS Class of 1966.
