Jerry and Ann Bays established this scholarship fund to support Independence High School seniors pursuing a degree in the field of engineering. Jerry is a well-known businessman and professional engineer and Ann, an educator, imparted joy and reading skills to multitudes of students. Students must be attending West Virginia University or West Virginia University Institute of Technology. Award is weighted for educational merit, personal character and financial need.
