A generous gift from Wyoming County donor, Lonnie Bailey, created the Literature Fund for Wyoming County at BAF in 2010. The income for this fund shall be used to encourage and recognize, through grants, new or establishes writers of Wyoming County, WV. The purpose is to help keep alive and inspire new historical and cultural endeavors through the craft of writing. Mr. Bailey is a prolific author and both his prose and poetry have received multiple national and international honors including four inductions into the Poetry Hall of Fame. Awards are made as part of an annual writing competition sponsored by the Wyoming County Economic Development Authority. Refer to their website for application information.
