She earned a Master’s degree from Marshall and then worked for 18 years at Beckley College. Warren established a number of mining and excavating companies and other business ventures based in Raleigh County. Originally, the couple started a permanently endowed scholarship at MSU. With the closure of the MSU Foundation, they elected to move the fund to BAF where it will generate income for need/merit based scholarships for college qualified students residing within coal producing counties in southern WV.
