Enoch H. and Frances Hamer Phipps Memorial Fund

In 1997, prior to her death, Mildred Phipps Henry established three memorial funds which underwrite the work of three charitable organizations. This fund honors her parents with the annual income distributed to the Helping Hands Resource Center of Beckley. Mildred was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School and attended Charleston Business College. As an accountant she worked for Dunedin Coal and Gulf Oil companies prior to becoming the business manager of Beckley Belt Services owned by her husband. She was a member of First Baptist Church. The other two funds benefit Raleigh County Humane Society and Mac’s Toy.
