This fund was created by Joyce Broyles, a former BAF office manager and longtime supporter of the foundation. She established this fund in loving memory of her husband, Dr, Randall Broyles. Randall grew up in Southern West Virginia and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High school. An outstanding student, he was also recognized for excellence on the football field. He continued his pursuit of higher education earning his PHD and becoming an educator in his own right. He worked in Delaware before returning to Raleigh County. Always enthusiastic about the importance of education, it is fitting to have a scholarship as a permanent memorial to this scholar who devoted his life to teaching, teachers and students. Recipients of this renewable need and merit based scholarship must be a college qualified graduate of the Raleigh County Public Schools.
