Coach Joel Hicks Scholarship Fund

This fund was established by Jim Riffe in honor of Coach Joel Hicks. Coach Hicks was a football coach at Woodrow Wilson High School from 1969-1976. Coach Hicks left a huge impact on the students he coached. His toughness, work ethic, and emphasis on flawless execution, raised the standard with each student that played on the team. It was the desire of Mr. Riffe and C. Bruce McDaniel to establish this scholarship in honor of Coach Hicks. This scholarship is for a graduate of WWHS with preference given to a student who played football. The scholarship will be equally weighted for educational merit, financial need and athletic achievement.
