Initially in 2009, Dr. Patra E. Janney established this fund to be donor advised allowing her input to recommend how the annual net income of this fund was distributed. Following her death in 2021, it became an education field of interest endowment. It is a living memorial to the ‘love of her life,’ Bill Janney whom she married in 1952. She received her Doctorate in Education Administration from Virginia Tech. Additionally, she was nationally recognized as “Outstanding Teacher of America” in 1975. She closed her career in education as the Principal at Daniels Elementary School.
