In 2004 a group of Webster County citizens realizing the value of creating permanent endowments for their community approached Beckley Area Foundation to establish funds benefiting their concerns and needs. Their motto is “Building a Foundation for Our Future.” The fund income shall be used to promote arts education and artistic programming for the citizens of Webster County. Grant recipients shall be recommended by the Webster County Community Fund Advisory Committee and approved by the Beckley Area Foundation Board of Directors.
