This endowment fund was established in 2024 with a matching opportunity from the Carter Family Foundation. There are 245 soldiers currently buried at this small veteran’s cemetery. Soldiers from the Civil War to current day are represented. The first Soldier killed in Korea can be found among the rows of white headstones. This perpetual fund was created to ensure that the final resting place of these American Heroes is properly maintained for future generations. The American Legion and Raleigh County Veteran’s Museum thank you for your support and the honor you have bestowed by donating to such a worthy cause. God Bless Our Soldiers!
