United Bank, Inc., a trustee for BAF, joined the growing list of businesses that recognize the value of creating a permanent gift to the community by becoming a fund donor. The bank designated that the annual net income will be added to the pool of unrestricted funds awarded by BAF’s distribution committee to meet community needs and opportunities. When the Foundation was founded, Raleigh County National Bank was one of the first four trustee banks. RCNB provided the new organization free office space in the uptown Beckley building, which allowed more money to be devoted to community specific needs. When RCNB merged with United Bank, Inc., the support continued.
