Established by her husband Dr. M. Khalid Hasan, M.D. upon the occasion of their 38th wedding anniversary. Originally, the annual income from this fund was designated to provide scholarships for Raleigh County minority students attending Mountain State University in the physician’s assistant or nurse practitioner programs. However, since MSU’s unprecedented closure, minority students pursing either of these two fields at other WV accredited programs may apply. Both need and merit shall be considered in selecting the recipients for this renewable scholarship.
