Led by past BAF Board of Directors member, Larry Ford, the congregation of this church undertook the challenge of pooling their resources to establish a named scholarship fund at the Beckley Area Foundation. Many individuals made gifts so they could meet the criteria set by the Walker Foundation to obtain a match; they exceed their goal of $10,000. Income from this fund will be used for one or more scholarships for students who have attended Perry Memorial United Methodist Church.
