Lee Lilly and her husband, Judge C. Berkley Lilly, established a Memorial Scholarship Fund in honor and memory of her mother who died in 1986. Mrs. Bowyer was first a country school teacher and later postmaster at Danese in Fayette County. She was one of 7 daughters and 5 sons born to Andrew Etchison and Jane Ellen Vines Fink. Mrs. Bowyer always retained strong interests in education; this fund will aid aspiring teachers. Lee Lilly died in Dec., 2013.
