This unrestricted fund was established by Mrs. Virginia Tutwiler Dunbar in memory of her husband, an osteopathic physician who practiced in Spencer, Meadow Bridge, Rainelle, Beckley and Mr. Hope. He also practiced for many years with his two brothers at the Dunbar Clinic. He died in 1993. He was born in 1913 at McKees Creek to the late Dr. James C. Dunbar and Rufina Dorsey Dunbar. A graduate of Gauley Bridge High School and New River College (which became West Virginia Tech); he received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Still College of Osteopathy and Surgery located in Des Moines, Iowa.
