Scott was only 42 when he died in December 2014 after a 16 month valiant battle with cancer. He left a wife, four children, his parents, a brother and a host of friends who cherished his memory. A year later, one such friend sent a significant memorial gift to BAF assuming it could be added to a fund named for Scott, but none existed. However, this thoughtful memorial gift began an unexpected chain of events. The Foundation had s challenge grant from the Massey Foundation that would match donations to existing or new unrestricted endowments. In short order, friends and family added their gifts and a lasting memorial was created for Scott. This fund recognized his devotion to his family, his adopted community, his friends and his profession as a pharmacist. His wife Jennifer noted, ” Our children share his genuine, positive disposition, radiant smile and fun loving attitude.” Scott Evans Christiansen made a difference. This fund was established in 2016.
