Realizing the value of creating permanent endowments for their community, the people of Webster County established a geographic fund at BAF in 2004. Their motto is “Building a Foundation for Our Future.” BAF handles the administrative duties while an advisory committee from Webster County reviews local concerns and opportunities, recommending how income from the fund will be awarded to benefit their county. Additional endowments have been established by groups and individuals affiliated with Webster County. These include support for the arts, health and wellness, education and scholarship assistance.
