Stephen Allen Mullens was a graduate of Webster County High School and Fairmont University. At the age of 42, Stephen passed following a long illness. He was a kind and gentle man that fought a tough battle with the J C Virus. Stephan often spoke of his job as an engineer on the railroad and how important it was to attend college. He was aware that many students graduating from Webster County High School were in need of financial assistance to succeed in college. In Stephen’s honor, the Stephen Mullens Scholarship was established to assist students, who show a desire to give back to Webster County, in furthering their post-secondary education.
