This scholarship fund was created in 2025 by friends of Richard & Beth Jarrell to honor Richard’s retirement. Richard worked for over 25 years with Chick-fil-A. Operating three locations in the Beckley area. During this time, over $300,000 in scholarships and tuition assistance was given to local students to help fund their education expenses. This need based scholarship will be for a student who has been in the workforce for 12 consecutive months prior to graduation. It will be for a matriculating senior from Greater Beckley Christian School, Independence High School, Liberty High School, Shady Spring High School, Woodrow Wilson High School, or Victory Baptist Academy. Student must be a resident of Raleigh County, West Virginia
