The Roops instilled in their three children the value of an education, the importance of making a contribution to one’s community, and most importantly God’s calling to serve others. Therefore, the children of Jack and Mary Frances Roop are committed to establish a scholarship in memory of their beloved parents. Carl “Bill”, Mary Jacqueline, and Jack “Gordie” desire the proceeds from this fund be given to a deserving young person from Raleigh County to further their college education.
