This fund was established with a gift of stock from their daughter Susan Landis, volunteer executive director of the Beckley Area Foundation. Dr. and Mrs. Stevenson moved to Beckley in 1963 and resided there until their deaths in 1987. “Red” Stevenson was an orthopedic surgeon who practiced at the Southern WV Clinic and Beckley Bone and Joint Clinic. Alma was active in a number of organizations including the BARH Pink Ladies. This unrestricted fund will provide ongoing support for the community that Dr. and Mrs. Stevenson called home.
