The Delaney Wykle Animal Wellness Fund has been established at the Beckley Area Foundation to improve access to veterinary care for pets and support animal wellness throughout Southern West Virginia.
Established by the Delaney Wykle Animal Wellness Center, the fund was created to help remove financial barriers that can prevent pet owners from obtaining essential veterinary care. Through the fund, financial assistance will be provided for preventative, wellness, and emergency veterinary services, helping pets receive the care they need while easing the financial burden on families facing financial hardship.
Companion animals play an important role in the lives of countless individuals and families, providing comfort, companionship, and unconditional love. Unfortunately, the rising cost of veterinary care can make it difficult for many pet owners to seek treatment, even when their animals require routine or urgent medical attention. The Delaney Wykle Animal Wellness Fund was established to help bridge that gap by expanding access to quality veterinary care for pets in need.
Established as a permanent endowment at the Beckley Area Foundation, the fund will provide ongoing support for veterinary wellness and emergency care through approved veterinary clinics. Distributions will be made in accordance with the Foundation’s spending policies, ensuring the fund continues to serve the community for generations to come.
Rachel Cornett shared the significance of the fund and what it means to those who helped bring Delaney’s legacy to life.
