Beckley natives, this couple retired to Lexington, Virginia, but maintained strong interest in many varied activities in our area. Mrs. Sayre was an active supporter of Concord University while her husband was active in Rotary and a past president of the BAF Board of Directors. The couple was active in making recommendations from this donor advised fund. Upon their passing, the fund became a scholarship fund for Concord University.
