This fund was established in 1992 and received a matching grant from the Dr. Thomas Walker Foundation. Income from the fund was directed by Mr. and Mrs. Yunker during their lifetime, and with BAF board approval, to charitable organizations and causes in the area. The Yunkers directed that upon their deaths the income be equally distributed to the Raleigh County and Fayette County Libraries.
