Carole Scaring started this fund in memory of her husband, a highly respected local physician and retired U.S. Navy officer who died in May, 2008. Bill and Carole are the parents of William E. Scaring, Ph.D., Carole A. Avery, Jennifer C. Stevens and Matthew T. Scaring. Bill enjoyed many outdoor activities available in our Mountain State. A devout Catholic, he and his family were active members of St. Francis. Income will be distributed annually for use by St. Francis DeSales Church.
