This endowment was ‘built over time’ to both honor Doug Stanley, principal founder of Storm Haven, and to provide on-going income for this community-based, transitional, residential substance abuse program headquartered in community of Raleigh. Doug Stanley died in 2014 from leukemia. His work following his recovery from addiction was remarkable as he dedicated his life to offering a lifeline to anyone who was caught in the throes of addictions.
